Today Charlie was practicing his standing, fell and hit his head hard on the edge of a piece of wooden furniture. After much crying, mostly by me, and a little bleeding, we took him to the walk-in care to get the cut checked out, thinking it looked a little deep. Sure enough, stitches were needed. Here is our brave little guy after getting the cut cleaned, waiting to see the doctor.

As expected, Charlie was upset receiving his five stitches while strapped onto a papoose board. He was quite the trouper though. But, long after the tape holding on the topical anesthetic was removed, Charlie was red and irritated where the tape had been. The doctor thinks he has an allergy to adhesive so instead of a simple band-aid covering the stitches, Charlie got the super-cool head wrap. Also, he has another ear infection.

The head wrap came off shortly after we got home. Charlie has been good so far about not bothering the stitches and does not seem too traumatized by the events of the day.
