birthday weekend
Todd and I celebrate not just our birthdays, but the entire weekend around each other's birthdays. With mine approaching, this weekend was full of activities that Todd planned. Audrey was in tow for all of it and made this the best birthday weekend yet.
First we met up with Erinn and the boyfriend Kieran in Chicago at Karyn's raw food, where everything is made of nuts and vegetables and left uncooked to keep all nutrients intact. This was the perfect place for me with my current diet of no dairy, soy and eggs. As usual, Audrey was a perfect lady at the restaurant.
Back at home Audrey gets kisses from Todd
On Sunday we spent the day at Brookfield Zoo. It was Audrey's first time at a zoo!

Audrey sits!
Grandma Channamom has been requesting video, so here's some exciting footage of the girl sitting on her own today. I surprised Audrey with the camera when she woke up, so that may explain why she still appears a bit groggy here.

lunch with Sarah
Today Audrey and I had a leisurely lunch with my friend from college Sarah. We hadn't seen each other for about two years and it was great to catch up!

what's so funny
Something was very funny the other night when Todd was carrying Audrey around the house in the Bjorn. We don't know what it was but he got pictures of the baby during her fit of laughter.

new camera
We had been talking about upgrading our digital camera for a while. Since I lost our camera on Saturday (it has since been found!), we bought a new one on Sunday as an early anniversary present to ourselves. Unfortunately, we missed out on pictures this weekend when Audrey hung out with Todd, Lynn, Mike and Brad while I volunteered at Walk & Roll.
Yesterday morning I was anxiously waiting for Audrey to wake up so I could get some shots of her with the new camera.

Audrey went to meet her grandpa John and great grandmother Lilian for the first time today.
While we were out that way, we stopped by to see grandma Channamom at work. Audrey helped with payroll.

Happy Birthday, Seth!
We spent our Saturday wishing Audrey's cousin Seth a happy birthday! Here's the birthday boy getting ready for some birthday cake.

Audrey was in demand and spent most of her day visiting with all her relatives. Here she is with her cousin Julie.
And while a photo with with his cousins Tyler, Allysa, And Audrey would have been nice, Seth just wasn't having it this time around.

it's a jungle out there
We really needs to mow the lawn. When Todd got home from work tonight we lounged in the back yard and there is grass almost as tall as Audrey.

getting our hands dirty
Todd took the day off from work today. After yoga we went to see the baby-friendly showing of Spiderman 3 then did some much needed yard work.

Every night we read books to Audrey and tonight she and Todd were looking especially cute

five months
Audrey turned five months today! Where does the time go? We can't believe the things she can now do - standing and sitting with assistance, mastering tummy time and grabbing anything in reach.
We spent the day with my old friend Susan. We got coffee and then walked around the hood. Audrey was intrigued by Susan, constantly wanting to look at her.

baby yoga master
Audrey started baby yoga this morning; alas, no photo evidence exists yet. I'm hoping next week we'll get a shot of Aud demonstrating a gentle cobra. For now, enjoy this shot Jill took earlier today of the girl trying out a new look.
And here's the scene that greeted me when I arrived home from work. That goofy smile sure takes the sting out of a long day toiling in the library.
