animal houses
Todd took the day off from work today so I could take Audrey back the allergist without Charlie in case there was any of the drama of the last visit. The only new development is that Audrey's daily dosage of antihistamines is up to twice per day. After the appointment we took a family trip to the arboretum to see the human-sized animal houses.
We started at the prairie habitat with the ant colony and coyote den. Audrey did not want any part of the climbable spider web.

Next was the wetland. Audrey really liked the polliwog pond and kept going back to it. She was practically pole dancing on the puzzle weed.

We did not make it to the third habitat, the woodlands - next time!
When we got home from the arboretum Audrey successfully used the potty! Her chosen reward: polish on her fingernails.

big boy bath
Charlie had his first bath in the big tub today.
This was supposed to be a bath just for Charlie, but Audrey didn't want to miss out on any fun and got in too.

tea party
Audrey was talking about tea parties this morning so I thought it was time to get out the play set she received from Nana a long time ago. She shared her tea with Purple Baby (aka Dirty-face Baby) and even served chai for me. Audrey got the crown yesterday from John when we went to Channamom's to escape paint fumes and avoid the heat because Audrey had another bad case of the hives. She has barely taken it off since.

hot day
Audrey and I braved the heat and played outside for a while this morning.
In the afternoon, Nana and Papa came over to jump start the painting of the family room. We never would have gotten the project done (or probably even started) without their help!

no water chai
We finally got together again with Tracy today and had a fun time visiting and watching big girl Abby dance. Audrey was not as interested in Abby as she was when we met her at one month old. She just wanted to play with Abby's toys. Charlie just wanted to chew on Abby's toys.
