Happy Birthday!

To the sweetest, most wonderful mom a boy could ever ask for: Happy Birthday!

My mother, believe it or not, is one of the few people in my life I can actually sit down with and talk comics strips. Seriously, she reads the comics page with more regularity than I do. I love that I could call her recently with surprise and shock after reading the FBOFW strip that featured Elizabeth being attacked at work. And that while having this conversation she would refer to Elizabeth's ex-boyfriend Anthony as "the one married to that bitch."

I love you, Mom! Happy B-day!!

the menace

I'm seeing that the Complete Hank Ketcham Dennis The Menace, 1951-2 is due to hit stores today; can anyone out there confirm that they have seen it?? I'm eager to get my hands on it. Plus, I believe the next installment of the Dark Horse Little Lulu books is out too - sounds like a good day to visit the ol' comic shop if you ask me...

I'm going to start posting some strips again this weekend; my apologies for the long delay in between installments of the Java Sea Pirate. In the meantime, I'm hoping everyone has gotten a chance to check out Barnacle Press...

Say hello

Okay, okay, I don't want a revolt on my hands, so I'll spill my big announcement...I fear I may have overinflated its importance a bit by my long departure from these digital shores. That said, I'm pretty excited about it and hope you will be too. Without further adieu, I give you Barnacle Press! A new classic comics supersite from the guys that brought you Thrilling Adventures and Beyond Belief '72.

As for this space, the blog will continue to run, though I'm not entirely sure what the future will hold. I will likely continue to post pieces of storylines, which will then be sent over to the new place upon completion. Then again, it may morph into something else entirely, you never know with me.

As always, thank you all so much for stopping by. Now go check out the new site!
